Blood women of Jammu Kashmir donates 36th pint of blood

Srinagar, Jun 25: Ms Bilquis Ara, the blood woman of Jammu Kashmir donated her 36th pint of blood today at Lal Ded Hospital in Srinagar. In an event held in the afternoon at hospital’s blood bank, officials from health department and eminent non-profit Red Drop were also present. The blood donation event by a passionate health worker from remote Kupwara village was also attended by Dr Arjumand Bashir Deputy Director Health Services Kashmir.
“Blood is a previous liquid and it can save lives. Every healthy person among us should come forward to donate blood in the best interests of humanity, ” said Bilquis Ara, who is also a president of Red Drop.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tawseef, Chair Man Red Drop said that our goal is provide blood to every needy in the society. From last two years we have been actively working to engage more and more youth irrespective of their gender to participate in the humane work of blood donation.
“The woman like Bilquis are a true role model in the society. I believe other women would take cue from her and come forward for this noble cause, ” said Shabir Hussain Khan, President Red Drop.

Simnani family bereaved

Srinagar, June 19: Wife of Syed Abdul Hamid Simnani, passed away after a brief illness at her residence at Lane J, Alamdar Colony, Rawalpora, Srinagar on Wednesday.
She was mother of Syed Zulfikar Ahmed Simnani, Syed Shakeel Ahmed Simnani, and Syed Professor Ruhul Amin Simnani. She was also Aunty of Professor (Dr.) Syed Nazir Simnani Principal of Govt. Degree Collge Bemina.
People from all walks of life participated in her funeral prayers (Nimaz-e-Jinaza), and offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard at Lane J, Alamdar Colony, Rawalpora, Srinagar.
According to family sources, her congregational Fateha will be held on Saturday 22 June, 2024 at 10:30 am at Lane J, Alamdar Colony, Rawalpora graveyard.

Clarification regarding viral video of Molvi Imran Reza Ansari

Srinagar June 19: All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA) issues a statement to set the record straight regarding a viral video featuring our President, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari.
“The video in question is an old footage from Chinabal, Pattan, showing a religious mediation between two parties, one of which refused to comply. It is not recent or post-election, as falsely claimed,” said AJKSA General Secretary, Abid Ansari.
“We condemn the deliberate misrepresentation of this video by certain media houses and individuals, spreading false information. AJKSA will take legal action against those responsible for uploading and sharing the video with malicious intent.”
We urge the public to be cautious of such misinformation and rely on authentic sources for news.

Rajiv Omprakash Pande-IPS assumes charge as DIG CKR Srinagar

Srinagar, February 08: In pursuance to govt order No. 74-Home of 2024 dated 06-02-2024, issued vide endorsement No. PG/232/2021-08 (CC47857) dated 06-02-2024, Shri Rajiv Omprakash Pande-IPS took over the charge of the office of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, Srinagar today on 08-02-2024.

The officer was warmly welcomed by the officers/ staff of RPHQ Srinagar including DySP DAR DPL Srinagar/ Administrative officer RPHQ Srinagar. Later on, the officer was presented with a guard of Honor.

Urs of Hazrat Sayyid Taj-ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) observed

Srinagar, Jan 23: The annual Urs of Hazrat Sayyid Taj-Ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) was observed at Shampora Nowhatta in Shaher-e-Khaas here on Tuesday with religious fervor and enthusiasm.

On the occasion large number of devotees, including women and children, paid obeisance and offered special prayers at the shrine, which resounded with recitations of verses of Holy Quran.

The Urs of Hazrat Sayyid Taj-Ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) is observed on 11th Rajab-ul-Mujarab every year, the 7th month of the Islamic calendar.

Syed Sajjad Hussaini Hamdani of Zadibal, a descendant of the saint said: “Hazrat Sayyid Taj-Ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) was a famous saint, scholar, and religious leader of 8th century (Hijri). He was born in Hamdan (Iran). His lineage is linked to his father Hazrat Sayyid Hassan Hussaini (RA) and subsequently with Hazrat Ali Murtaza (AS). He was elder brother of Hazrat Sayyid Hussain Simnani (RA) and cousin brother of Hazrat Amir Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA).”

“Hazrat Sayyid Taj-Ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) migrated to Kashmir with his family including his wife, son Sayyid Hassan Hussaini Hamdani and a daughter Sayyidah Aaliya Khatoon” said Syed Muhammad Hamdani of Wahabpora, another descendant of the saint.

When Hazrat Sayyid Taj-Ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) left this world, his remains were laid to rest at Shampora Nowhatta in Shaher-e-Khaas.

Begum late Maulana Mustafa Hussain Ansari passes away

Srinagar, December 17: Sayyidah Hameeda, wife of late Moulana Mustafa Hussain Ansari of Khanqah-e-Sokhta Nawa Kadal at present Shalimar, passed away after a long illness at her residence early in the morning on Sunday.

She was mother of Editor Kashmir Observer Sajjad Haider Ansari, Shahid Ansari and Hamid Ansari. She was also Aunty of Nasir Abass Ansari and Moulana Masroor Abass Ansari.

People from all walks of life participated in her funeral prayers (Nimaz-e-Jinaza) that were held at Imambargah Gulshan-e-Ali Shalimar Srinagar, led by Aga Syed Aijaz Rizvi, and offered their condolences to the bereaved family.

She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard at Baba Mazar Zadibal, Srinagar.

She was daughter of late Aga Syed Muhammad Jalali.

Residents of Khanqah-e-Sokhta Nawa Kadal native palace of the deceased held a condolence meeting at Masjid Sharief Syed Muhammad Mosvi (RA) and offered Fateha to the departed soul.

Valley Observer team held a condolence meeting and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.

Family sources said her Fateha would be held on Wednesday at Baba Mazar Zadibal at 8:00 am. Followed by a day long condolence majlis will continue at Ansari House and Imambargah Gulshan-e-Ali Shalimar, Srinagar.

Div Com visits interior hamlets of Dal Lake

Inspects beautification works of LCMA at Kachri Mohalla

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 16: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com), Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today conducted an extensive tour of interior hamlets of Dal Lake to inspect the eco-development and the beautification works at Kachri Mohalla executed by J&K Lake Conservative & Management Authority for transformation of hamlets into model villages.

He was accompanied by Vice Chairman, LCMA Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Commissioner SMC, Athar Amir and other officers of LCMA.

During his visit, Div Com inspected the development of sewer line, beautification works for the development of parks, peripheral wooden piling of land, dredging channels for water transport, walkways & Gazebos.

Div Com, on the occasion, inspected the various eco-development activities and directed concerned officers to expedite the execution of works. He instructed for illumination of the hamlets with decorative lights besides instructed for making streetlights functional.

Also, Div Com stressed for the dredging of channels and opening of routes connecting the Kachri Mohalla with Nehru Park.

He advised inhabitants to keep their environment clean and adopt a proper disposal system for plastic waste. He told them that it is the social responsibility of inhabitants to keep their surroundings clean.

He called on them to paint their roof tops and walls to increase the aesthetics of the villages.

Ealier, the inhabitants warmly welcomed Div Com and other officers with garlands and expressed their gratitude for addressing their demands and issues.

The locals informed that due to the beautification works the footfall of tourists has increased significantly.

Later, Div Com along with officers took stock of the upgradation process of Nishat Sethu for walkway.

Bukhari condoles demise of Molvi Imran Ansari’s grandmother

Bukhari accompanied by senior Apni Party leaders, including General Secretary Rafi Ahmed Mir, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammed Ashraf Mir, and others visited the residence of Molvi Imran Ansari’s grandmother Begum Syed Ali in Hassanabad.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Altaf Bukhari conveyed his deepest sympathies to Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, Alhaj Abid Hussain Ansari, Syed Altaf Hamdani and other family members.

Bukhari prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and offered courage to the family to bear this irreparable loss. The visit was marked by a solemn atmosphere, as the leaders paid their respects and shared moments of grief with the grieving family. Bukhari was joined by party delegation, including Junaid Azim Mattu, former Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, State Secretary Muntazir Mohiuddin, Provincial Secretary Najeeb Naqvi, and other prominent members.
