Srinagar, September 6, 2026: The Annual Religious Educational Conference, organized under the management of Tanzeemul Makatib, was successfully held on September 6, 2026, at Al-Zehra (SA) Imam Bargah, Bagh-e-Zainab (SA), Shalimar, Srinagar.
The day-long conference commenced at 10:00 a.m. and witnessed the participation of a large number of students, religious scholars, teachers, intellectuals, and community members from across the Srinagar Zone.
The conference was chaired by All India Secretary General Moulana Syed Safi Haider. The programme was conducted by Hajji Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Masool (In-charge), Zone Srinagar, while Dr. Barkat served as the Stage Secretary.
Students from various Maktabs across the Srinagar Zone participated enthusiastically and presented Taleem-e-Muzahira (Demonstrative Education), showcasing their religious knowledge, learning, and educational skills.
Several prominent religious scholars, intellectuals, and community personalities attended the occasion. Those present included Syed Sabih-ul-Hassain, Moulana Syed Naqi Askari, Moulana Showkat Mehdi, Moulana Bilal Ali Dar, Hussain Hamid Nigran, Secretary Kashmir, Syed Sajad Abidi, Syed Mushtaq Mosvi, Ghulam Rasool Rasooli, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Mir, Hakeem Maqbool, Tanvir-ul-Sadiqain, Syed Asiq Hussain Zadi, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, Hakim Muhammad Ashraf, Syed Musaffar Hussain Jalali, Bashir Jafferi, Dr. Rashid Maqbool, Altaf Hussain Dar, among others.
The conference also featured a poetry session in which renowned poets recited their works before the gathering. The poets included Maiel Chandozvi, Farhat Saharanpuri, Naseer Azmi, and others. Their poetic presentations added a literary and cultural dimension to the programme and were warmly appreciated by the audience.
The event provided students with an important platform to demonstrate their religious learning while encouraging them to develop confidence, knowledge, and a deeper understanding of religious teachings. The enthusiastic participation of students from across the Srinagar Zone reflected the continued efforts of Tanzeemul Makatib to promote religious, moral, and educational development among the younger generation.
Certificates were distributed among the meritorious students at the conclusion of the event.
At the end of the conference, Hussain Hamid, Nigran Secretary Kashmir, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Idara Auqaf-e-Imamia Aharbal, Shalimar, for its valuable support and cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the conference.
He also extended his appreciation to the District Administration, Police Department, Jal Shakti Department, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Medical and Health Department, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), as well as the organizers, religious scholars, teachers, students, poets, volunteers, and all others whose valuable efforts and cooperation contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The conference concluded on a positive note, with participants reaffirming their commitment to promoting religious and moral education among the younger generation.
