BARAMULLA, June 27: Police in Baramulla have solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
On 25/06/2023, Police Station Bijhama received a written application from one person Bilal Ahmad Dar son of Khazir Mohd Dar resident of Salamabad Dachina stating therein that some unknown thieves has stolen three goats from Salamabad Dachna jungle. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bijhama and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers investigating the case led by SHO PS Bijhama zeroed in on many suspects for questioning. After strenuous efforts, one suspect namely Parvaiz Ahmad Mughal son of Mohd Shafi Mughal resident of Salamabad confessed his involvement in commission of crime. On his disclosure, all the stolen property was recovered. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
After completion of all legal formalities, the stolen property was handed over to the legal owner.

Baramulla, June 26: Police have arrested a person along with 380 fake gold biscuits at Khanpora area of Baramulla.
A police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Shri Altaf Ahmad-JKPS assisted by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Khanpora Bridge intercepted a person who tried to flee after noticing police party but was apprehended tactfully. He has been identified as Javid Ahmad Dar son of Ab Rahim Dar resident of Khanpora Baramulla. During search, 380 fake gold biscuits weighing about 380 grams was recovered from his possession. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.
Baramulla, June 14: Police in Baramulla have arrested a man involved in sexually molesting a minor boy in Kreeri Baramulla.
On 13/06/2023, Police Station Kreeri received a written complaint stating there in that on 12/06/2023, his minor son (name withheld) age about 6 years was sexually molested by a person and had threatened the victim for not disclosing the incident to anyone.
Accordingly, a case under sections of law was registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers after hectic efforts were able to identify the accused as Hashim Tariq Zargar son of Tariq Ahmad Zargar resident of Sultanpora Kandi A/P Kreeri.
Subsequently, a Police team led by SHO PS Kreeri under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime. He was shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Further investigation of the case is in process.
Baramulla, June 08: Police have arrested an extortionist for blackmailing & threatening a girl in Baramulla.
Police Post Delina received a written complaint from a person stating there in that his daughter is being continuously blackmailed and threatened by an unknown caller since long and has caused his daughter severe distress. Moreover, he has extorted handsome money from his daughter but when the situation got worsened, she disclosed whole story to him.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a police party led by IC PP Delina under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla, arrested the extortionist identified as Owais Rashid Bhat @Zaidaan @Sahabaa son of Ab Rashid Bhat resident of Chitloora Rafiabad Sopore. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody. Further investigation of the case is going on.

Baramulla, June 03: Police in Baramulla have solved a burglary case by arresting 02 accused persons involved in the commission of crime besides, recovered stolen cash from their possession.
On 01/06/2023, Police Post Wagoora received a complaint from Abdul Majeed Reshi son of Asadullah Reshi resident of Kalantra Payeen Wagoora stating therein that some unknown burglars barged into his shop (JK Bank Khidmat Centre) when he had gone for lunch and stole cash amounting ₹97,000/- from the shop.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers with the help of technical and human resources, zeroed in on two persons identified as Ghulam Mustafa Sofi son of Mohd Ibrahim Sofi & Shabir Ahmad Bhat son of Assadullah Bhat, both residents of Diver Yakhmanpora Pattan.
During questioning, both the accused persons confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure, stolen cash was recovered. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

BUDGAM, May 30: In response to a distressing incident reported on 29th May 2023, involving an act of sexual harassment against a young girl (identity withheld), Budgam police today arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime. The brave victim approached Soibug Police Post on the aforementioned date at 22:00 hours to file a written complaint detailing the events that unfolded.
According to the victim’s statement, on 25th May 2023, around 10 AM, she left for her coaching classes in Budgam. She accepted a lift from an unknown vehicle near Soibugh along her journey. Unfortunately, during the course of the trip, the driver subjected her to sexual harassment. In a fortunate turn of events, she managed to escape, albeit leaving behind her mobile phone and school bag inside the vehicle.
Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, Budgam Police immediately began investigating the incident thoroughly. Through diligent efforts and resourceful investigative work, the accused individual involved in this deplorable act has been identified as Saqib Ahmad Dar, a resident of Narkara Budgam. He was promptly apprehended and the vehicle bearing registration number JK01N 5711, a Verna model involved in the incident was also seized.
Police is committed to ensure the safety and security of all individuals, particularly women and children. Baramulla , May 28: Police in Baramulla have solved a burglary case by arresting 03 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
On 27/05/2023, Police Station Boniyar received a complaint from one person Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger (Accounts officer of Small Hydro Electric Project Boniyar) stating therein that some unknown burglars have stolen steel shuttering plates from construction site at Maidanan Boniyar. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Boniyar and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers with the help of technical and human resources zeroed in on some suspects for questioning. Among them, 03 suspects identified as Aqib Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Hafeez Shah resident of Nangli Pora Sopore, Bashir Ahmad Jainder son of Sayia Jinder resident of Madian Boniyar & Sajad Ahmad Thakar son of Gulam Qadir Thakar resident of Uranbowa confessed their involvement in the commission of crime after thorough interrogation.
On their disclosure, officers have also recovered stolen property from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

On 23/05/2023, Police Post Wagoora received a complaint from Ghulam Nabi Mir son of Ghulam Mohd Mir resident of Kachwa Muqam Kreeri stating therein that during intervening night of 22-23/05/2023, some unknown burglar(s) barged into his shop located at Kalantra Payeen and had stolen vehicle spare parts.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, officers with the help of technical and human resources zeroed in on one suspect identified as Umar Rehman Mochi son of Abdul Rehman Mochi resident of Kalantra Payeen.
During questioning, officers learnt his involvement in the commission of crime. On his disclosure, stolen property was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Stolen property recovered
Ganderbal, May 19: Police in Ganderbal have solved theft cases by arresting 3 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
In the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora, complaints from different areas were floating constantly regarding thefts of Angular Iron fitted in the fields, orchids of farmers for demarcation & fencing purposes etc. Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was initiated.
On receipt of this information, SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS constituted a special Police team led by incharge PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS. In a quick & swift action, the Police team busted a gang of burglars involved in the commission of the crime & multiple theft cases were solved by recovering a huge quantity of stolen Angular Iron on the instance of arrested burglars. The arrested accused have been identified as Arif Ahmad Saaid S/O Gulzar Ahmad Saaid resident of Narayan Bagh, Tariq Ahmad Mir son of Gh Mohd Mir resident of Trigam & Mudasir Ahmad Guroo son of Mehraj Ahmad Guroo resident of Narayan Bagh. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
During the investigation, it came to fore that the stolen material was kept hidden by them under stagnant water near Chinar Bagh Narainbagh. Moreover, 01 Load Carrier bearing registration number JK01M-3868 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

Shopian, May 18: Police in Shopian have solved a burglary case by arresting 05 person involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property worth lacs have also been recovered from their possession.
On 03/05/2023, Police Station Shopian received a written compliant to the effect that during the intervening night of 15-16/04/2023, some unknown burglars have stolen 11 sheep (hybrid type).
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.68/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Shopian and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, investigating team developed human/technical inputs and accordingly several suspects were detained for questioning. During questioning, officers learnt the involvement of five suspects in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Nisar Ahmad Malla son of Ghulam Rasool Malla, Gulzar Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Qadoos Mir, both residents of Check Sangdan Imamsahib Shopian, Sheeraz Ahmad Hajam son of Mohammad Abdullah Hajam resident of Watoo Kulgam, Sajid Gulzar Ganie son of Gulzar Ahmad Ganie resident of Akalmir Khanyar Srinagar and Irshad Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad Shafi Ganie resident of Rozbal Khanyar Srinagar.
During further questioning, officers also learnt of their involvement in several other burglary incidents at different locations of Anantnag, Awantipora, Kulgam and Pulwama areas.
On their disclosure, stolen property worth lacs including vehicle Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK18-0124, vehicle Taveera bearing registration number JK03C-1249 and 03 sheep were recovered.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
